In 2008 REHAU took fibre composites, known from aircraft and racing cars, and used them in window profiles for the first time. RAU-FIPRO joins the strengths of plastic and glass fibre in one material, and its profiles weigh up to 40% less than comparable systems, which makes them easier to fabricate and fit.
RAU-FIPRO X is the next generation: its glass-fibre content is more than 50% higher, and it is used only in the GENEO RAU-FIPRO X profile system.

Certified efficiency
RAU-FIPRO X window profiles are certified by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt. With slim profiles for more daylight and top insulation values, they also meet the strict Swiss Minergie standard.
